Discover the gifts God has given you.

Discover and Use Your God-Given Gifts

God has given each of us gifts, abilities, and opportunities to serve Him and others. Scripture reminds us that these gifts are not meant to be hidden or used only for ourselves. They are given so that we can contribute, encourage, serve, and build up those around us.

This Scripture-centered audio brings together passages that speak about spiritual gifts, God-given abilities, and the purpose behind what He has placed within us.

A Moment to Reflect on Your Gifts

Sometimes it can be difficult to recognize what God has placed within us or to understand how our abilities can be used for His purposes.

These Scriptures remind us that every good gift comes from God and that He equips His people in different ways. Whether through teaching, serving, creating, encouraging, leading, giving, or other abilities, God can use what He has given you.

Take a quiet moment to listen, reflect, and consider how you can use your gifts to honor God and serve others.

Pause and Reflect on What God Has Given You

Your Gifts Have a Purpose

Throughout Scripture, we see people equipped by God with different abilities and spiritual gifts. The gifts may look different from one person to another, but each has a purpose.

God gives wisdom, skill, strength, and spiritual gifts so that His people can serve, encourage, and build one another up. You don’t have to have someone else’s gift to have something valuable to offer.

Take a few quiet moments to listen and reflect on what God may be calling you to use for His glory.

Recognize What God Has Given You

Scripture reminds us that every good and perfect gift comes from God. Take time to recognize the abilities, opportunities, and gifts He has placed in your life.

Use Your Gifts to Serve Others

God’s gifts are not simply for personal achievement. We are called to use what we have been given to serve others and contribute to the body of Christ.

Step Forward With Courage

You may sometimes feel uncertain or inadequate. Scripture encourages us not to shrink back, but to faithfully use what God has entrusted to us.

Gifts

Use What God Has Given You

God has created each person with purpose and has given different gifts and abilities to His people.

The Bible describes many different ways these gifts can be expressed. Some are called to teach, others to serve, encourage, lead, give, create, or demonstrate wisdom and knowledge. No single gift is meant to stand alone.

This Scripture-centered audio gives you a moment to pause and listen to what God’s Word says about the gifts He gives and how they can be used.

You don’t need to compare your gifts with someone else’s. Instead, consider what God has placed in your hands and how you can faithfully use it.

The Scriptures Behind This Audio Experience

A collection of Scriptures about the gifts God gives and how we are called to use them.

This audio brings together passages that show how God equips His people with wisdom, skill, spiritual gifts, strength, and purpose.

Exodus 31:1–6

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship,

4 to devise skillful works, to work in gold, in silver, in brass,

5 in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of workmanship.

6 Behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you.

1 Peter 4:10–11

10 As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

11 If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Corinthians 12:28

God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.

Ephesians 4:11–16

11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;

12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of serving, for the building up of the body of Christ,

13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,

16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

Luke 11:11–13

11 Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a serpent instead of a fish, will he?

12 Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?

13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

2 Chronicles 5:12–14

12 Also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, clothed in fine linen, having cymbals and stringed instruments and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them one hundred twenty priests sounding with trumpets);

13 and when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking Yahweh; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised Yahweh, saying, “For he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever!” then the house, even Yahweh’s house, was filled with a cloud,

14 so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for Yahweh’s glory filled God’s house.

1 Corinthians 12:1–11

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.

2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.

3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.

4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.

6 There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.

7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.

8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;

9 to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;

10 and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; and to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.

11 But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.

2 Timothy 1:6–7

6 For this cause, I remind you that you should stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

7 For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or turning shadow.
